Agile vs Predictive PMP Questions
Many PMP questions are not asking you to name a method. They are asking you to notice the environment and choose a response that fits the work.
Agile clues
Agile scenarios often mention changing priorities, iterative delivery, product owners, empowered teams, frequent feedback, or uncertain requirements. The best answer usually supports collaboration, transparency, and rapid learning.
Predictive clues
Predictive scenarios often mention defined scope, formal baselines, change control, regulatory constraints, or fixed contractual expectations. The best answer usually respects the approved plan and formal governance.
Hybrid clues
Hybrid questions mix both patterns. For example, hardware or compliance work may be predictive while software delivery uses agile iterations. In these questions, avoid one-size-fits-all answers and choose the response that fits the specific part of the work.
When reviewing wrong answers, ask which clue you missed. That habit improves PMP score faster than memorizing lists.
